The Panorama Composer by Firmtools is an extremely easy way to produce your Panoramas. The built in algorythm aligns and stitchies the photos and can also adjust their overall quality if told to do so. The flash based interface is as simple as simple can be. You have three steps to go through: open images, set correct order and rotate if needed. After that everything is done automatically and you only have to save the resulted panorama in one of the offered formats.
Panorama Composer is advertised as software capable of dealing with handheld panoramas. Yet, there's no option of manual aligning or control points setting. The only thing you can do to influence the result is to set the profile that should influence the quality. Here you can do a bit of fine tuning in case your panorama gone wrong. But to fine tune anything you will have to go back to the first step.
My test images had the inevitable problem with the last image. This time the horizon line on the right was ok except for a break at the sim. But tiny as it was the deficiency could not be removed. The sims also show a bit, especially in the sea area. Some other panoramas when stitched resulted in total disaster.
Panorama Composer cannot stitch tiled or vertical panoramas, but it can do 360 panoramas ok.
What is especially good in Panorama Composer though is it's export. You can save your pano as html and it'll appear in a browser (if you have Adobe flash player installed) and will be playing there. The saved as exe file pano is also moving but by the means of Panorama Composer own viewer. It's a very good option for those who like to send the panorama to somebody and can be indespensable for virtual tours.
Panorama Composer can be purchased from FirmTools site for $49,95 (on a cd) and $29,95 (download version) or you can download a tiral version for a 30 days evaluation.
