ADG Panorama Pro Print E-mail

ADG Panorama ProADG Panorama Pro is quite a powerful tool for panorama creation. It can produce good images in automatic regime with minimal manual fine tuning.
The Interface of the program is completely self explanatory and very simple. All necessary funcions are put at the top bar as pictograms. All the control is given to the mouse and hot keys. No sliders or number boxes are involved.

panorama making in the process
The program is automatic by default. Once you've downloaded your files into it the process begins. A nice touch about the program - it visualizes the process of putting the images together for you - the way they are tilted and moved around into the whole image. At the end of the process the preview is shown automatically in a browser window.

Horizon line flaw

The manual tuning may be needed at times. Here I had a problem with changing the angle a little. In the photo below the last image should have been rotated a little and this I couldn't find how to do, even after reading the manual through and through. My guess - it cannot be done at all. In this particular case it would mean a spoiled image - the horizon line looks unnatural, bended in the wrong direction.

This means that ADG Panorama Pro wouldn't excuse not perfect images.
The output formats include .adg, .mov, and .jpg. Setting output options you can specify image resolution, image quality, and maximum zoom. The Contrast and Brightness can be automatically adjusted, too.

panorama options

ADG Panorama exports ready panorama images to web. It can generate a Java viewer and provide all necessary script for using the image on a web page.

ADG Panorama Pro also has an option of adding "hot spots" - links - directly to the panorama image. this fits as well into its web orientation.

On the whole, I'd say that ADG Panorama Pro can in most cases produce decent images in automatic regime. The interface is easy to understand and use. The resulted images can be very conviniently integrated into web pages.
The installation produced no problem whatsoever. The program works fast enough.
You can buy ADG Panorama Pro at http://www.albatrossdesign.com/products/panorama/ for $39 (ADG Panorama) or $99 (ADG Panorama Pro). the trial versions are availble, too.
