Adobe offers a series of initiatives providing focus on the new capabilities of the Creative Suite 3 release.

The new Adobe Creative Suite 3 with its 12 new standalone applications and six new suites makes it a difficult to quickly assimilate. Taking it into account, Adobe will be hosting a range of live and on-demand production demonstrations and background sessions over the next six months, using Adobe's marketing theme of "creative license." There's a number of activities planned.

The Creative License eSeminar Series are a popular way to provide information about the capabilities of particular applications, often geared to a particular audience. Currently scheduled in the Creative License series are dates for Creative Professionals, Web Professionals, Serious Photographers (implying both professional and prosumer) and Video Professionals.

The Creative License Podcast Series are weekly events, hosted by Terry White. They include conversations with Adobe executives, including head of creative solutions Johnny Loiacono. Invited guests, including well-known authors and conference presenters, provide tips and tricks on Creative Suite applications.

The Creative License Conference features a two-day conference and expo events, to be held in Los Angeles, June 19-20, and in New York, June 25-26. It will provide almost 40 multi-track sessions covering CS3 topics from print, online, video, motion graphics and mobile device perspectives, with speakers drawn from Adobe ranks. The emphasis is on demonstrating what's new in the Suite, via such session topics as Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Designers, Powerful New Controls in Adobe Camera Raw and What's New in Adobe Flash CS3 Professional. There are also one-day events scheduled for Chicago, Austin, San Jose, Boston, Seattle and Toronto.
