Inserting image into a mobile phone screen |
|
|
Here's a tutorial on how to make an image appear on a mobile phone screen or any other scrren or framed area - an often needed effect. We shall make then the image pop out of the screen for more impact.
1. Open a file with the phone image.
2. With the Polygonal Lasso tool select the screen area.
3. Open the image you are going to use for the screen. I used the red poppy suitable for the second effect also shown in this tutorial. 4. Press Ctrl+A to select the whole poppy image and Ctrl+C to copy it.
5. Use Edit > Paste into command to paste the poppy into the screen selection area.
6. Use Free Transform tool (Ctrl+T) to adjust the inserted image size to the screen dimensions.
7. Add a layer style Inner Shadow with the settings shown below to make the image look as if it was really shown in the screen.
8. Reduce the inserted layer opacity to 80-85%.
You can stop here or procede to another effect making our ad more creative. We'll make the poppy to pop out of the mobile phone screen. 9. Go to poppy layer, rightclick the layer mask rectangle and temporarily disable the layer mask.
10.Use Free Transform tool (Ctrl+T) to increase the image so, that poppy is bigger than the screen. It should look out of it. As the opacity of the layer is reduced the screen border will guide you.
11.Make the selection of the poppy, starting from the lower screen border. I used Magnetic lasso here.
12. Copy selected poppy and paste it into a new layer. 13.Enable the lower layer mask. 14. Final touch - we'll add some text with the Type tool. 15. And add Outer Glow layer style. Look at the result:
