June 13, 2007

SkinTune boxThe SkinTune, 20/20 Color MD and Test Strip Proofer plugins are designed for Mac and PC-based professional photographers and now, as many other programs, are updated for compatibility with Adobe Creative Suite 3.

SkinTune solves one of the trickiest color correction tasks of getting the right skin color. Phototune's approached to the problem was through and extremely precise, with studying skin color and then collecting thousands of image samples from around the world. They have a database of acceptable colors for each race and libraries containing between 125,000 and 150,000 colors made up of different combinations of hue, brightness, and saturation, based on the unique characteristics of each race. The resulting plugin contains specialized tools for skin color adjustment, claiming a degree of precision twice that of Photoshop itself.

June 5, 2007

\"Park by the Numbers" is a camera phone project that began as a simple way to help me remember where I parked my car in big garages. But as I started to look more closely at these images, I began to enjoy them on the artistic level too, and became interested in taking other types of parking shots.
